Keeping it Fresh

They say the older you get the wiser you get; not neccesarily when it comes to make up.  I have noticed that the older that women get the more they feel the need to wear more makeup.  They try to hide their imperfections by wearing more foundation and powder which tends to give their skin a very dry cakey look. If they are not careful they end up with a line along their chin line where the foundation stops or the neck and face are two different colors.
What they don't realize is that it actually makes them look older because wearing heavy foundation gets clogged in their fine lines and wrinkles thereby accentuating them.

Here at VIVIANE our SkinSpecialists know makeup!  We know that starting with great skin is the first step in achieving that fresh faced glow.  We have also noticed that the time involved for them to apply makeup is way too long.  It should take no more than 10 minutes maximum to apply a fresh daytime look and maybe 20 minutes for an evening make up.  In both makeup applications starting with our Cameo Liquid Makeup mixed with a dab of moisturizer before applying to the skin gets the skin off to a healthy glow.  Do make sure to set the foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder.  The most important part of this process, is that it is a must to have the correct color for the skin tone.  That is why we offer many shades to help with color matching.

DayTime Look:  Complete this look by lining the top of the eyelids with one of our Eye Liner Pencils.  Applying a soft shade of eye shadow like our barley pink in the crease and on the lid opens the eyes. Finish with one coat of our mascara and the eyes are done.  For the brows make sure to use Brush on Brow to achieve a polished look; it allows filling in and shaping at the same time.  Use a natural color like our Toasted Peach Blush on the apple of the cheeks.  Pick a neutral lip color pencil like our Natural Lip Liner pencil and line and fill in the lips; finish with a sweep of our  Pure Conditionning Lipcolor.  The Day awaits go out and meet it!

Evening Look:  Complete this look by lining the top and bottom of the lids with a either a black or charcoal grey Eye Liner Pencil.  Apply a smokey colored Eye Shadow like our Wild Plum to your lids and crease.  Applying Two coats of mascara will really give the eyes drama. Use a darker blush such as our Rosewood it will help fight against looking washed out with such dramatic eyes.  Go red for the lips; use our Red Lip Pencil and fill in with our Dynasty Red Conditionning Lipcolor.  An evening out looking fabulous and in half the time.
